Right after Sailfish 3 Day we travelled to Berlin, in order to meet up with our German community and showcase Sailfish 3 to one of our most enthusiastic crowds, while giving them a presentation about Jolla’s current status and Sailfish 3. The third generation of Sailfish OS is here! Sailfish 3 is all about better performance, deepened security, and smoother user experience for corporate and Sailfish daily users. We celebrated the launch of our new Sailfish 3 with our community in Helsinki, in an event full of laughter, like-minded people and Sailfish! Jolla’s Chief Engineer Marko Saukko presented a lecture at Innopolis University on November 10th, 2016 about contributions to Sailfish OS. The lecture includes a history of Sailfish OS, a number of key features of the OS, Sailfish OS architecture, Hardware adaptation, Ways to contribute to Sailfish OS and Sailfish OS Core, Platform SDK and much more. International Sailfish Community Event 2016: Jolla’s co-founder Sami Pienimäki gave a keynote speech for the Sailfish community at the International Sailfish Community Event about Jolla’s partnerships and where the future of Sailfish OS is headed.
